Terms and Conditions

Effective August 18, 2026. These Terms and Conditions apply when you use Playa Yachting LLC's website, request a proposal, authorize a reservation deposit, or book a yacht experience. By submitting payment details or completing a booking, you agree to these terms.

Proposals and availability

All proposals, prices, yachts, dates, departure times, routes, and inclusions are subject to availability until Playa Yachting confirms the reservation. A proposal is not a confirmed reservation. We may offer a comparable yacht, date, time, or route when the requested option is unavailable. We will not substitute an alternative and capture its deposit without your agreement.

Payment methods and timing

The way your deposit is processed depends on the payment request you receive. When the Playa Yachting website states that your deposit will be held pending confirmation, submitting card details authorizes Playa Yachting LLC to place a temporary card hold. A hold is not yet a completed charge, although your bank may show it as pending and may reduce your available balance. We capture that deposit only after confirming availability. Payments submitted through a PandaDoc payment form, QuickBooks invoice, or another invoice or payment link are charged immediately unless the payment request expressly states otherwise. The payment page or invoice will identify the amount due and whether it is a temporary authorization or an immediate charge. If an authorization expires before confirmation, we may ask you to authorize the deposit again.

Confirmed reservations and balance

Once availability is confirmed and the deposit is captured, your reservation is confirmed and the deposit is applied toward the total charter price. The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline stated in your proposal or confirmation. Prices may change before confirmation, but we will not capture more than the amount you authorized without your approval.

Cancellations and refunds

If Playa Yachting cannot confirm the requested reservation, an uncaptured hold will be released. If you paid immediately through PandaDoc, QuickBooks, an invoice, or another payment link and we cannot provide the requested reservation or an alternative you accept, the applicable amount will be refunded. For customer cancellations made 30 days or more before departure, captured payments are eligible for a full refund. For customer cancellations within 30 days of departure, the reservation deposit is non-refundable. No-shows and last-minute cancellations are non-refundable. Bank and card-network processing times control when a released hold or refund appears in your account.

Weather

Charters proceed unless the port is officially closed or authorities issue a marine advisory that prevents safe operation. Light rain, clouds, or ordinary weather changes do not qualify for cancellation or refund. When a charter cannot operate because of an official closure or applicable marine advisory, we may offer a safe alternative route, rescheduling, or a full refund when no reasonable alternative is available.

Guest conduct and safety

Guests must follow crew instructions and behave responsibly. Illegal substances are prohibited. Overconsumption of alcohol, reckless conduct, or refusal to follow safety instructions may result in early termination without a refund. Guests are responsible for providing accurate party information and disclosing relevant accessibility, health, or special requirements before departure.

Service providers and responsibility

Playa Yachting LLC acts as a booking agent and does not own or operate the yachts. Vessel owners and operators are responsible for vessel operation, crew, safety, and compliance with maritime law. We may also coordinate third-party services such as transportation and catering. To the extent permitted by law, Playa Yachting is not responsible for acts or omissions of independent service providers.

Payment concerns and disputes

If you believe a charge or refund is incorrect, contact us promptly at info@playayachting.com so we can investigate and attempt to resolve it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection or payment-card laws.

Website, privacy, and governing law

Website images, descriptions, prices, and availability are informational and may be updated. Unauthorized reproduction of our content is prohibited. We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy and may share information as reasonably necessary with payment processors and service providers to arrange your reservation. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Lake County, Ohio, USA, without limiting any non-waivable rights you may have under other applicable law.
